The Clear Lake Forest Swim Team has a rich history that dates back to 1969 when it started with only 15 swimmers. Over the years, the team grew in size and won several championships, including the Clear Creek Swim League Championship Meets in 1977, 1984, 1988, 2021, 2022, and 2023. The team also honors the memory of Michael Poor, a swimmer who passed away in 1981 while on a Scout trip to Mexico, by awarding a trophy to a swimmer who embodies his qualities. In 1985, the team held a "Name That Team" contest, and The Fins was chosen as the winner.

Our very own, Julie Wilcox!

The Clear Creek Swim League had a separate diving team called the CLF Diving Team, which had over 80 divers at its peak in 1975. The team represented CLF at various meets across Texas and won the CCSL Championship in 1976, 1977, 1979, 1980, and 1981. Unfortunately, the team disbanded in 1986 due to the high insurance costs of maintaining the high diving board.

The pool was a hub of activity during the summer months, offering swimming lessons for both children and adults. Teenagers could often be found spending their days lounging by the pool and playing ping pong in the open room behind the lifeguard office. The concession stand was open all summer long (not just for swim meets) and the Women's Association even hosted special Teen Nights on Thursdays, complete with drinks, pizza, and popcorn. In 1970, the teens even organized a luau party and roasted a pig in a pit at the pool.

Great news! Our pools open May 31st and are ready for a fun-filled swimming season. Come and enjoy the refreshing water with your friends and neighbors. We can't wait to see you there!

Reminder:  this 2024 swim season, you must register to access and use the pool.
